No Driveway? You Can Still Have an Electric Car

But on another day, the closest charger was a 0.75-mile walk from the barbecue I was attending. Many mass-produced electric vehicles come with a charging unit that can be used with any standard 110v outlet. You can therefore charge an electric vehicle from regular household outlets. We recently tested the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E, an EV with a generous 270-mile range in all-wheel-drive extended range configuration. Our one-week test took place in Central Florida, out of an apartment building with no place to charge an EV in the parking garage. There are only two DC fast charging locations near our apartment that would make sense for us to use.

However, if you need to get moving and have somewhere to be quickly, then finding a charging station that can recharge your car quickly is important. Electric cars are taking the automotive market by storm, but they do still come with considerations of their own. “Fueling” an electric car can be an interesting challenge, especially if you don’t have a charger at home. An easy way of charging on the move is to use a rapid charging point wherever possible.

Benefits of EV Charging Business
